ASUS ROG Strix Z890‑A Gaming WiFi is an ATX motherboard for Intel LGA 1851 (Core Ultra Series 2) based on the Z890 chipset, with a 16+1+2+2 power delivery system using 90A power stages for strong CPU support. It supports up to 256 GB of DDR5 memory (OC up to ~9066+ MT/s) with DIMM Flex, DIMM Fit, and AEMP III. For storage, it offers five M.2 slots (one PCIe 5.0, four PCIe 4.0) and four SATA 6 Gb/s ports. Expansion includes a PCIe 5.0 x16 SafeSlot. It provides dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 10 Gbps USB-C Type-C rear port (with 30W PD), and additional high-speed USB ports. Networking includes Wi-Fi 7 via ASUS Q-Antenna and Intel 2.5 Gb Ethernet. The board’s cooling is robust with large heatsinks connected by heatpipes, and it supports AI features such as NPU Boost, AI Overclocking, AI Cooling II, and AI Networking II. For convenience, it has PCIe Q-Release Slim, M.2 Q-Latch, Q-LED, BIOS FlashBack, Clear CMOS, and a pre-mounted I/O shield. Audio is handled by the ROG SupremeFX ALC4080 codec with a Savitech amplifier, and lighting is supported via three Gen-2 ARGB headers with Polymo lighting and Aura Sync.
