MSI B840 Gaming Plus WiFi is an ATX motherboard built on the AMD B840 chipset for AM5 socket, supporting Ryzen 7000 / 8000 / 9000 series CPUs. It has 4 DDR5 DIMM slots, supporting up to 256 GB with OC up to ~8000+ MT/s. The board features a 7+2+1‑phase power delivery system, and offers storage via 2 × M.2 Gen4 ×4 slots and 4 × SATA 6 Gb/s ports. Expansion includes a PCIe 4.0 ×16 slot plus several PCIe 3.0 slots. Connectivity includes Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and 2.5G Ethernet, along with USB 10 Gbps (Type-A and Type-C) and other USB ports. Display output comes via HDMI 2.1, and audio is powered by a Realtek ALC897 codec with MSI’s Audio Boost. Cooling is provided by extended heatsinks, MOSFET thermal pads, and M.2 Shield Frozr II for drive thermal management.
