MSI MAG Z890 Tomahawk WiFi is a high-end ATX motherboard built on Intel’s Z890 chipset for the LGA 1851 socket, designed to support Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors. It features a 16+1+1+1 Duet‑Rail power system with 90A Smart Power Stages and dual 8-pin CPU power connectors, ensuring strong power delivery for demanding workloads. The board supports 4 × DDR5 DIMMs with overclocking up to 9200+ MT/s. For storage, it offers one PCIe 5.0 ×4 M.2 slot, three PCIe 4.0 ×4 M.2 slots, and four SATA 6 Gb/s ports. Expansion includes one PCIe 5.0 ×16 slot and two PCIe 4.0 ×16 (x4) slots. For connectivity, it comes with Thunderbolt 4 (two Type‑C ports), Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a 5 Gb Intel Killer LAN. It features an extended heatsink design with MOSFET and choke thermal pads, EZ PCIe Release for easy GPU removal, EZ M.2 Shield Frozr II, and a tool-less M.2 installation. On the I/O panel, you get USB 10 Gb/s (Type-A), Thunderbolt 4 Type‑C, HDMI 2.1, and buttons for BIOS Flash and Clear CMOS. Audio is handled by a Realtek ALC1220P codec via MSI’s Audio Boost 4.
